SOUTHERN PRIDE ROASTERS

Southern Pride Roasters was started by accident in 1995 when i started doing backyard parties and BBQs for family and friends. My family comes from northern ALABAMA, where BBQ is not only a meal but a way of life. I decided to sit down with my father and talk BBQ, he started off telling me some of the recipes from his aunts and uncles as well as from my grandmother and took their style of spice and BBQ and it helped me make a start on the BBQ road.

I started playing with fire, I learned how to use smoke to make the flavor of meat explode with the subtle taste of hickory. Over the next few years I began to smoke all of my food. After that I started doing parties and small catering for friends, family and people by word of mouth.

Then in 2004, my partner JAY DONOVAN added his sense of taste and smell to the adventure of Southern Pride Roasters. Later in 2007, we added our creative side in Kathleen and Scot to make our competition team complete.

We went from two guys with a grill too 3 guys a girl and a bunch of SMOKERS .

After mastering the smoker, we started a barbeque competition cook team. We do about eight competitions a year. We have been to NASHVILLE TENNESEE with CHEF BOBBY FLAY as our guest chef. We have been up to MERRIMAC, NEW HAMPSHIRE to the ANHAUSER BUSCH BREWERY.

Over the last four years we have built a good BBQ team and catering company.

NOW we look forward to catering and competition.

We are now in the process of getting our own sauce processed and bottled for sale.
